Ushamath is in Uttarakhand state of India. This place derives its name from Usha who was married to Aniruddha, the grandson of Lord Krishna. The marriage ceremony was held here, it is believed. It is the abode of Kedarnath during winter, when the temple is closed for devotees. This is the place where the son of Yuvanashwa, the King of Surya dynasty, Mandhata worshipped and meditated to appease Lord Shiv. Mandhata had got a view of him and attained Siddhis.
