UTAKAMAND

UTAKAMAND was the summer capital of the former Presidency of Madras in India, on the Nilgherries, 7000 ft. above the sea-level, and where the temperature in summer is as low as 60°F.

It is now Udhagamandalam, popularly known as Ooty, in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.
