Vietnam War

Vietnam War (1955 – 1975), also Vietnam Civil War, was officially fought between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. North Vietnam was supported by The Soviet Union, China, and other communist allies supported North Vietnam while South Vietnam was supported by the United States, South Korea, the Philippines, Australia, Thailand, and other anti-communist allies. It started with conflicts not only in Vietnam, but also in Laos, and Cambodia on 1 November 1955. Thus the Vietnam War also included the Laotian Civil War and the Cambodian Civil War. It ended with the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975 with all the three countries becoming communist countries. There was direct US involvement in the war.
