Vilhelm Bjerknes

Vilhelm Bjerknes (1862 — 1951), full name Vilhelm Frimann Koren Bjerknes, was a Norwegian geophysicist and meteorologist. He is known for developing a theory of physical hydrodynamics for atmosphere and oceanic circulation. He had also developed a mathematical model for weather forecasting.
