WARSAW

WARSAW is the capital city of Poland, stands on the left bank of the Vistula, 700 m. SW. of St. Petersburg; is almost in the heart of Europe, and in a position with many natural advantages; is about as large as Birmingham. It has a university and a large trade and numerous manufactures.

There was a time when it had become a province of Russian Poland and was the third largest city in the Russian empire.
