William Cureton
William Cureton (1808-1864) was an English Syriac scholar, born in Shropshire, assistant-keeper of MSS at the British Museum. He applied himself to the study and collation of Syriac MSS, and discovered, among other relics, a version of the Epistle of Ignatius. He was appointed canon of Westminster.Nearby pages
