William Strunk (Jr.)

William Strunk (Jr.) (1869 - 1946) was a US professor of English at Cornell University and author of "The Elements of Style" (1918). The book was revised an enlarged by his former student E. B. White, thereafter known as authored by Strung & White, became a highly influential guide to English usage during the late 20th century.
