Windermere

Windermere is a lake on the borders of Westmorland and Lancashire, the largest in England, 10½ miles long from North to South, and 1 mile broad. It is 240 ft. deep and 134 ft. above sea-level. It is located amid beautiful scenery, and near it is Rydal Mount, long the residence of Wordsworth.
