The impressive performance of Samajwadi Party by winning three seats and second in four assembly seats should motivate Akhilesh Yadav to come out of his comfort zone and resort in street politics on the issues related to common man.

Significantly Samajwadi Party secured 22 per cent votes which boosted morale of party workers leaders. Going alone in the by-elections proved too beneficial for Samajwadi Party. Enthused by the results, Akhilesh Yadav announced that results were pointer for future politics. He said that Samajwadi Party would form the government on its own in 2022 assembly elections.

Although Rampur assembly seat was very safe for Azam khan's wife but she managed to get additional sympathy votes the manner in which he was cornered with more than 80 FIR registered against him. The only constituency Akhilesh Yadav campaigned was Rampur. That too because Mohd Azam khan is perceived to be Muslim face of the party.

Had Akhilesh Yadav visited other constituencies, the results would have been different. People are wondering as to why Akhilesh Yadav is shy enough not to visit other constituencies to campaign for party candidates. After winning three assembly seats, Samajwadi Party got second position in four assembly seats.

The loss of BSP is also gain for Samajwadi Party, especially when Mayawati herself liquidated the alliance soon after Lok Sabha polls. Defeating BSP candidate in its stronghold Ambedkar Nagar is a big win for Samajwadi Party.

The SP leader must be very happy that his party secured number two position in four assembly seats. Earlier also Samajwadi Party secured second position in Hamirpur assembly bypolls. There was virtual fight in Samajwadi Party and BSP for total control over Muslim votes. The results made clear that Muslims would prefer Samajwadi Party over BSP whose leader Mayawati is seen supporting BJP on many national and regional issues.

Samajwadi Party leader can exploit the situation in favour of his party if he decides to come out of his comfort zone and take on BJP on the national and regional issues.

BSP supremo Mayawati who was over confident after winning 10 seats in Lok Sabha and dissolved the alliance with Samajwadi Party, was biggest loser in the bypolls as it could not save its seat Jalalpur in its stronghold Ambedkar Nagar. Although BSP got 17 per cent votes but failed to get any seats. BSP strategy to contest bypolls and project itself as number two parties after BJP, backfired.

There is a great disillusionment in rank and file of BSP after poor performance in bypolls. There is a great possibility of largescale migration of leaders and caste base support of BSP to BJP and SP.

Congress under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi is happy with increasing its vote share to 12 per cent.

Although Congress fight in Gangoi assembly seat was impressive but the candidate lost by a margin of less than five thousands votes. Congress leaders and workers are very enthused with the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi who is the actual face of party in UP. Senior leaders thanked Priyanka Gandhi for efforts to double the vote share. The rank and file of Congress is very optimist to do well in 2022 assembly polls under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi.
