Surprisingly he shared his political platform only with one leader Nitish Kumar chief minister of Bihar in 2020 election. His body language also tells of new element of not bothered of several routines. He has in seven years not shared the platform with anyone else in his party. Now an impression is gaining ground that the UP chief minister Aditya Yogi had to move closer to NaMo as he is the decisive factor for winning the battle that appears to be a lost war. The impression is deceptive and built up on artificially through advertisements to lure voters to believe the good days ahead with so many initiatives.

Most politicians assume voters to be commodity to be lured easily through promises of charity-money and fears of violence or muscle power. The Indian voters have given enough evidence of their courage and ability to take the risk without being carried away either by greed or fear. In 2014 NaMo had warned of hard labour and no charity in his regime and Sonia Gandhi had promised charity of Rs. 2.95 lakh crore each year. But her side got wound up with only 44 seats and NaMo emerged with clear majority.

Today no party is better placed in any count that matters though the ruling ensemble suffers a decisive disadvantage. Aditya Nath Yogi was floating in air for four years in the day dream of replacing NaMo But had to come down to hard reality in second year of the lockdown. He did not understand secret of or significance for the party of the grand victory in the last election. Most politicians and analysts had taken defeat of the BJP in the last election. But NaMo got 325 more than 75 percent seats for his ensemble.

Winning the assembly polls n Uttar Pradesh was his dire need in 2017. He exerted to prove his hold over the masses by dividing the Muslim females from their male without making the issue of the oral talaq into religious overtones. Instead he made issue as the cause for marital uncertainty for poor women. He surprised everyone with unprecedented outcome. But the Sangh Parivar ignored his achievement to install Yogi with impression as its choice as successor to NaMo, though he did not show his hold either in the state assembly polls or the Lok Sabha polls.

He had broken the hold of consolidated politics of the deprived classes and other poor strata for two decades in Bihar and UP. Yet he was ignored for some obscure personalities. In five years from 2017 to 2022, He did not attempt to stem the rot afflicting the state politics. The party lost in assembly polls nearly in all states except in Gujarat.
As the situation stands he does not need to even oblige the ungrateful elements. That leads many to believe he has not interest in winning the states that go to polls shortly as he may not have interest to stake claim for one more term.

As every party suffers from similar or other serious draw backs, it is difficult to see who can or will make the grade. After all voters can and do call the tunes. Only media persons go astray not voters.
