Termed as major vote bank BJP and the Sangh Parivar Workers are reaching out to these beneficiaries to appeal them to vote for BJP and alliance partners. BJP workers and members of the Sangh Parivar have been asked to register themselves online and then approach the beneficiaries and convince them to support party candidates. In UP people get ration twice a month - one by central government and another by state government. The beneficiaries segment is very huge in the state.
Under PM Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojna which was started during covid - 19 Pandemic about 150 million people in state have been receiving free ration every month. Last year in August PM Narendra Modi launched Ujjwala 2 from Mahoba district in UP. Earlier Ujjawala 1 was launched in 2016 from Ballia in UP.
Significantly enough Ujjwala has been game changer for BJP and played important role for victory of party in 2019 Lok. Sabha polls besides other factors. BJP also plans to reach out to beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojna Gramin and PM AwasYojna urban, PM Kisan and Jal Jiwan Mission.
BJP also reaching out to farmers with the message that all the three controversial laws rolled back and to spread the message of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi which enabled every landowner farmer to get Rs 6000 per year in the account in three installments of Rs 2000 each. Now it is to be seen whether BJP gets the advantage of various schemes announced by Modi and Yogi governments in assembly polls or not, only time will tell. (IPA Service)
