The BJP has now asked him to "be ready to leave the country" as if there is a "Nepal" in India, the first people out should be the "Congress and other dynasties" Did Rahul Gandhi warn of a Nepal-style fallout in India to the vote chori allegations?

After his hydrogen presser, with none of the signs of a nuclear detonation, except reiteration of his ‘vote chori’ allegations, Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said the 'Gen Z’ of the nation will defend the Constitution, protect democracy and stop vote theft".

This triggered talk of a Nepal-like situation developing in India, starting from Bihar where assembly elections are just round the corner and there is accompanying unrest along with anticipation that this time the NDA wouldn't have it as easy as in earlier elections.

The Opposition is going hammer and tong against the BJP and is emphatic that the BJP-led ruling dispensation at the Centre is, with the aid of a rigged Election Commission, out to commit fraud on the electorate, therefore the special intensive revision of electoral rolls.

So, the call to Gen Z, not rise in violent uprisal but as a force to reckon with in the voting process, turn up in better than good numbers and vote en masse for Mahagathbandhan candidates. Apparently, the Nitish Kumar government has "heard" and is concerned. The Bihar government is now opening its treasury and is doling out financial lollipops to the Gen Z of Bihar.

But Rahul Gandhi’s mention of Gen Z comes immediately after the youth-led regime-change in Nepal and right now there is nothing more pleasant to the ear to the Opposition than a Modi-change operation in the cards. Of course, the BJP is aware of such undercurrents and cannot be beyond dreaming up nightmare scenarios of conspiracy theories.

The protests in Nepal toppled the government there. The BJP has asked Rahul Gandhi to be ready to leave the country, warning of a Nepal-style fallout. What does that translate to? Why should Rahul Gandhi and his family members leave India if there is a Nepal-style "outcome"? A Nepal-style outcome translates to the violent ouster of the government and if there is such an outcome in India, there wouldn't be a Modi government anymore, right? So, why should Rahul Gandhi take the first flight out, like some TV talking heads have been surmising?

The Lok Sabha leader of opposition (LoP) need not flee. He is now seeking a response from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on the claims he made about "vote theft", which he has backed by "100 percent bulletproof proof". Gandhi took to social media platform X and shared a series of posts, one of which spoke of Gen Z – people born between 1995 and 2010. "The nation's youth, the nation's students, the nation's Gen Z, will defend the Constitution, protect democracy, and stop vote theft. I always stand with them. Jai Hind!"

Since then the Bharatiya Janata Party is in a tizz. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey the most. “Gen Z is against family politics” – Dubey replied on 'X'. "Why would they tolerate Rahul Ji after Nehru Ji, Indira Ji, Rajiv Ji, Sonia Ji?.... They are against corruption, why wouldn't they chase you away? Get ready to leave the country, they are coming............."

On Friday, Dubey resurfaced with “We said they stand with the youth of the country, and honorable prime minister is also continuously striving for social change in the campaign against dynastic ideology and corruption. This time, all dynastic politics will be out.”

Bottom-line, has Rahul Gandhi's mention of Gen Z triggered concern in BJP and NDA circles and there is fear Nepal must have left traces among India's Gen Z? (IPA Service)
