The five locations identified for the setting up of these Schools/Centres are – (i) Bengaluru (upgradation of existing Regional Resource Centre), (ii) Kolkata, (iii) Maharashtra/Goa, (iv) Jammu & Kashmir and (v) North East. There is no proposal to set up any such Centre in Tamil Nadu.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today she said that the Bengaluru Centre of National School of Drama has already been made operational on ad hoc basis. The remaining centres can come up only after suitable accommodation for setting up the centres is made available, by the concerned State Governments.
