As soon as the news about Enforcement Directorate issuing the notice for questioning Mr Pande was highlighted by the media, Mayawati government not only stripped Mr Pande from all important departments he was holding but distanced itself from him.

So much so the government spokesman said that in future if Mr Pande was found to be having any link with Hasan Ali, it would be his personal and government would have to nothing to do with it.

The opposition leaders have charged that Mr Pande was being made scapegoat and demanded that Mayawati government should resign.

Leader of the opposition and senior leader of Samajwadi Party Mr Shivpal Yadav said that Mayawati government had direct links with money launderer.

Demanding resignation of Mayawati government, Shivpal Yadav alleged that money earned through huge corruption in Mayawati regime is being siphoned off through hawala operation with help of Hasan Ali.

Mr Yadav said since the name of CM secretariat figured during discussion in Supreme Court, the name of other officials should be exposed.

BJP has also demanded dismissal of Mayawati government on the account of its involvement with Hasan Ali.

BJP leaders said since Mr Vijay Shanker Pande was occupying important position in the administration, his involvement with Hasan Ali was not good for the state.

Senior BJP leaders said that it had become the habit of Mayawati government to distance itself from politicians, bureaucrats as and when they were found to be involved in corruption and crime.

BJP leaders said Mayawati government could not escape from its responsibility in the corruption and it was high time that Governor BL Joshi should dismiss the government.

Samajwadi party leaders Shivpal Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav had recently charged Mayawati government of involvement in great loot of Rs 40,000 from state exchequer in the name of constructions of memorials and parks after dalit icons in the state.

Samajwadi Party leaders alleged that huge commission was charged in the name of construction work and stones were purchased from Rajasthan at a very high price for the construction of statues of dalit icons including Kanshiram and Mayawati herself.

SP state president Akhilesh Yadav has charged Mayawati government of earning several thousands of crores of rupees in the name of construction of statues of costly material like ‘Aashtadhatu’.

What could be worst commentary on the corruption in Uttar Pradesh than the murder of three senior officials one after another in family welfare departments in recent months?

First it was Dr Bachchilal then Dr Vinod Arya and now Dr BP Singh who was posted as CMP Public Welfare department in Lucknow.

Significantly enough all the three prominent doctors were killed when they were going for their morning walk.

The modus operandi and arms used were same in all the three criminal acts. The entire opposition has alleged all the senior doctors who were officials in family welfare departments were killed when they resisted the pressure from the alleged drug mafia to clear bogus bills and tenders.

Following pressure from opposition, Mayawati government removed two senior ministers Babu Singh Kushwaha and Ananti Mishra responsible for medial and health department and also shifted several officials in the department.

The entire opposition alleged that the three doctors were killed due to large scale corruption in the department going on for past few years due to open patronage from the government.

The political commentators said Mayawati government removed two senior ministers and other officials in connection with murders of three doctors to avoid CBI probe.

The timing of removal of two ministers also coincided with fast of Anna Hazare in New Delhi and Mayawati government wanted to avoid the embarrassment.

UPCC President Dr Rita Bahuguna Joshi led the party march from ‘saheed smarak’ to CMO office demanding CBI probe.

Bahuguna has the support from entire opposition which is seeking CBI probe into the murder of senior officials of family welfare department.

BJP in a separate exercise carried out in past few months came out with list of 100 scams to the tune of Rs 2.70 lakh crores of Mayawati government in past four years.

BJP leaders said that they would soon submit the list of all scams along with documentary evidences to Governor BL Joshi and President of India and would press for investigations and dismissal of the government. (IPA Service)
