The maximum cases of Muslim convicts has been in Uttar Pradesh at 5,877. UP also the list of Muslim undertrials which is 14,778.

Thus UP has far more cases of Muslim convicts and undertrials than Modi’s Gujarat.

Gujarat ranks seventh in the list of Muslim convicts being at only 971. It ranks ninth in the list of Muslim undertrials at 1,501.

In the number of cases of Muslim convicts UP is followed by West Bengal with 2,595, Maharashtra with 2,513, Madhya Pradesh with 2,023, Rajasthan with 1007, Karnataka with 958, Gujarat with 971, Assam with 926, Kerala with 770, Bihar with 740, Jharkhand with 712, Andhra Pradesh with 556.
