Should the political situation in the country force early polls, only these two parties are very well prepared, especially compared to Congress and BJP.
Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav has set the target of minimum 60 seats in Lok Sabha from UP before the party leaders and workers.
Mulayam Singh Yadav in his regular meetings party MPs, MLAs and other important functionaries, emphasises on securing maximum number of seats to ensure power at the centre.
Mulayam Singh Yadav is selling the dream to his party workers to work harder in order to realise his mission for becoming the prime minister, should India vote for hung parliament.
In order to boost the moral of the party leaders, Mulayam Singh warned the state government officials that they would be punished if they did not listen to Samjwadi Party leaders and elected representatives.
Mulayam Singh Yadav also asked party MLAs in the recent interactions that they should work in their areas to ensure victory of party candidates.
The SP supremo asked his party MLAs and other prominent leaders to sink their differences and work to achieve ‘Mission Delhi.’
Mulayam has asked all his party MPs, MLAs and other leaders to tell the public about the achievements of Akhilesh Yadav government on 23 April all over the state.
In order to boost the morale of party leaders, especially district and city units, president Mulayam Singh Yadav directed the state government to allow these leaders to visit UP Secretariat and Annexe, where Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has his office.
In order to win over the boatmen community, known as nishads, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav declared public holiday on the occasion of birth anniversary of ‘Nishad Raj’, an icon of the community.
With its presence of 4.5 per cent of total population, the nishad community is bound to play an important role in politics of wooing the backward vote clusters.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party has also threatened to gherao the parliament if UPA government did not take action on UP government proposal to include 17 backward communities in the list of SC category.
Samajwadi Party has already announced its candidates for majority constituencies and party candidates are already working in these areas. Mulayam has warned all the candidates that if there appears any negative report, candidates could be replaced.
BSP supremo Mayawati has also expressed her apprehension about early polls and claimed that party was ready to face polls anytime.
BSP has also appointed candidates as in charge of their respective constituencies and final decision about them would be taken after observers submit report about their activities.
Like Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati has also been asking her party workers all over the country to send good number of MPs in Lok Sabha so that she could become prime minister in a hung house.
Mayawati has asked her party leaders and workers to organise bhaichara samiti meeting all over the state to win over different castes for Lok Sabha polls. (IPA Service)
