Mr Anjan demanded that the Akhilesh Yadav government should bring in stricter laws against those involved in crime against women.
The CPI leader said it was matter for shame that state capital, known as city of erstwhile nawabs, has been declared as the most unsafe city for women.
Mr Anjan also demanded that Akhilesh Yadav government improved delivery system in the state. He declared that sate government should set up more paddy purchase centres in the state and also announce the names of persons who had been given the responsibility of opening of the purchase centres.
The CPI leader also urged the state government to ensure proper supply of good fertilisers to farmers at cheaper rates.
Welcoming the Allahabad High Court order ban on caste based rallies in the state, Mr Anjan said such rallies had never promoted caste harmony. ‘No right thinking person would oppose such a good decision of the court,’ Anjan opined.

Launching an attack on the BJP national secretary and in charge of UP affairs Amit Shah, Mr Anjan said the recent visit of BJP leader to Ayodhya and darshan of Ramlalla statues and seeking blessing for creating a Congress-free India was an insult to Indian philosophy.
Terming the recent orders of the Supreme Court and various High Courts as historic, Mr Anjan said that these orders would help in cleaning the political system from criminals and anti-social elements.
Mr Anjan said that soon the Election Commission would convene the meeting of the political parties in the light of order of the Supreme Court and it would then be seen whether the central government was serious about bringing reforms in the elections. (IPA)
