It would be worth mentioning here that the Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav are continuously talking about the formation of third front after Lok Sabha polls scheduled for 2014.
Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Choudhry said that the participants at the national executive meeting will discuss and debate and identify the secular parties to be approached to form third front.
The expansion of the party in others states and recent efforts by the party leaders like Mulayam Singh Yadav and his chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will be also be discussed
It may be mentioned that Mulayam Singh Yadav is already in touch with Left parties leaders. He recently met CPM general secretary Prakash Karat in New Delhi and discuss the possibility of a third front. Yadav is also in touch with CPI Secretary Atul Anjan.
Recently, Mulayam Singh Yadav visited the party headquarter of CPM in Kolkata and met Biman Bose, convener of the Left front.
CPM general secretary Prakash Karat had recently said that Mr Mulayam Singh was capable to lead third front government at the centre.
Much significance is also to be attached to recent attempt from UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to woo Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa on her birthday.
Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav has already toured other states like Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.
UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav also visited Ranchi to explore the possibilities in Jharkhand state. During his visit, Akhilesh Yadav addressed the state party unit and talked about the possibility of the emergence of a third front which his party was capable to lead from the front.
According to the party spokesman, the SP will also discuss the possibility of fielding party candidates in other states as well.
Since Mulayam Singh Yadav himself and his party leaders are appealing party workers Prime minister it is imperative for the party to achieve the target of at least 60 Lok Sabha seats.
SP spokesman Rajendra Choudhry informed that party meeting at Agra will also discuss about corruption in UPA government and attempt of BJP-VHP-RSS t to instigate communal riots to polarize votes on communal lines.
Samajwadi Party will also discuss the poll preparations and strategy to counter the possible impact of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi in UP. (IPA)
