Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Labour, Steel & Employment Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Social Justice Minister Thaverchand Gehlot, Ambassadors and High Commissioners of 28 countries and prominent industrialists of the country were present at the Summit.

Prime Minister said that times have changed now and no country can remain aloof from global economy. Every state should set up its own global talent pool. States should set up a global network of its talents wherever in the world they may be and utilise their experience and skills for country’s development. Mr. Modi said that employment to youths is the top priority of the country now. Employment opportunities should be generated by attaching equal importance to all three sectors including construction, agriculture and services. Praising Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister said that even a backward state can emerge as the fastest growing state if policy is clear. Team Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister has proved this. Entire world should know about development of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a new confidence has been created in India these days.

During country session of Canada at Summit, Canadian Trade Commissioner Mark Sylvain, Alain Oliver and Amit Shah held extensive discussions with Madhya Pradesh’s entrepreneurs on investment between Canada and Madhya Pradesh and various facilities. Trade Commissioner of Ontario in Canada Shri Amit Shah praised rapid growth of Madhya Pradesh. Quebec’s Trade Commissioner Alain Oliver offered to assist in construction of Smart Cities in Madhya Pradesh. Czech Republic, its Director Technical J.M. Lagey, Jaro Slavira, Miloslav Staek and Jiri Janicker informed Madhya Pradesh’s entrepreneurs about industrial and commercial activities in their country. Peru will soon sign free trade agreement with India for enhancing export-import and investment opportunities with India and Madhya Pradesh. Peru’s ambassador Luis Miguel Kabalo Aroyo said at Peru’s presentation in the summit.

Leading industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Cyrus Mistry, Adi Godrej, AM Naik, Shashi Ruia and Gautam Adani and many multinational and many others promised investment in Madhya Pradesh on this occasion. (IPA)
