It may be mentioned here that the High Court has ordered the police to refrain from taking any action against the governor. The Court held the view that so long he holds the office of governor no action can be taken against him. Upholding the petition filed by the governor the Court quashed the FIR citing immunity enjoyed by him while in the office of governor.

Meanwhile Another whistle-blower in the Madhya Pradesh examination and recruitment scam claimed that unidentified persons allegedly tried to eliminate him, just a few days after an accused in the case was found dead in Chhattisgarh.

At least eight persons, including the eldest son of State Governor Ramnaresh Yadav, have been found dead under mysterious circumstances ever since the Madhya Pradesh professional examination board (MPPEB) scam was exposed in 2013.

The governor was also booked by the special task force (STF) probing the scam but the Madhya Pradesh High Court later quashed the FIR against him.

On April 28, the body of an accused Vijay Singh was found dead at a lodge in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district.

The scam involved multiple rackets that helped candidate rig examinations for admission to colleges and recruitment in government jobs with scamsters employing imposters to write test papers, manipulated sitting arrangements and even supplied forged answer sheets.

Prashant Pandey, a computer expert who initially helped police in unraveling the multi-layered scam, lodged a complaint with police alleging that unknown person had rammed a truck into his car in the wee hours of Thursday May 7 near Indore.

Pandey said that he was not in the car though his wife, four-year-old son, father and 106-year-old grandmother were injured when the vehicle turned turtle under the impact of the collision.

Pandey, who was in a following vehicle while returning from a family function, later took the injured to the Bombay Hospital, he said.

In another case Gwalior-based social activist Ashish Chaturvedi, a whistle-blower in the Pre-medical Test (PMT) scam (which is one of the biggest scams among multiple admission and recruitment scams broadly known as Professional Examination Board (PEB) scams) has alleged that a person broke into his house late on Wednesday night, abused him and later threatened to shoot him dead.

Chaturvedi has already suffered three attacks on his life, including an abduction bid. This development comes at a time when another whistle-blower charged that some unidentified persons allegedly tried to eliminate him, just a few days after an accused in the case was found dead in Chhattisgarh. Despite a Whistle-Blower's Protection law in force, those who blew the lid on the MPPEB scam, including Indore-based activist, Anand Rai, have also faced threats to their life.

Chaturvedi charged that he met the Gwalior SSP Santosh Kumar Singh, ASP Rahul Arya and town inspector (TI), Jhanshi Road police station following the incident and urged them to lodge an FIR, but it has not been registered so far. Chaturvedi, who has been provided two personal security officers (PSOs) following directives of the high court said PSOs don't listen to him and come and go according to their convenience. He said now that he has to appear in the court to depose against former IPS officer Harisingh Yadav's son-in-law, Deepak Yadav, who ran a large PMT racket, such incidents would increase and police is only helping those, who want him to keep quiet.

When contacted, Gwalior SSP Santosh Kumar Singh didn't pick up his phone despite repeated attempts to get his comments on the issue.

Quite a sensation was caused when a high official of the state government was arrested in the Vyapam recruitment scam. The high official is Joint Director general of stamps and registrations, Indrajeet Kumar Jain. After his arrest he was produced in the court. He was sent on police remand till May 12 for further interrogation.

As per the information, Jain recommended one candidate Manoj Kaul, already arrested in Vyapam scam in transport constable recruitment test to Mahindra by getting huge amount.
The STF so far has not the amount money taken for selection.

STF sleuths conducted raid at stamp and duty head office near Raj Bhavan in Bhopal. Initially, he refused to go with the STF officials claiming his innocence in the case.

STF officials interrogated him in the office for one and half hour before taking him into custody. He was shown evidence received during interrogation with Mahindra and Manoj Kaul. There was huge transaction of money between Jain and Mahindra before the announcement of the recruitment result.

A senior government official the accused is high profile catch in MP's recruitment and admission scam.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan revealed that already more the 1400 persons including a former Minister, politicians and officers are in the Jail. They all have been arrested in connection with the VYAPAM scam.
