New Delhi: No Pakistani film will be screened at the 39th International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa between November 21 and Dec 02, 2008. Pakistan did not send any entry, said S M Khan, Additional D.G.(PIB) & Director of Film Festivals, addressing a press conference here.

New Delhi: Expressing serious concern over the suicide by 23 handloom and powerloom weavers in Sircilla in Andhra Pradesh, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour and Textile has asked the government to waive the existing loans of heavily indebted weavers who are unable to repay. The loan amounts to Rs 350 crore.
