Work has begun on a new year-long United Nations study aimed at helping the world's estimated 370 million indigenous people achieve their right to education.

With the announcement of 14 other items to be dereserved from the reserved list for Small Scale Industries, the SSIs are left with only 21 items now. It may further weaken the small scale sector of the country who are being made to compete with big industries, national and multinational.
