Abkhazia

Abkhazia is an autonomous territory in northwestern Georgia. It is situated in the south of the Caucasus mountains on the Black sea. Sokhumi is its capital city.

Abkhazia people have been in armed conflict with Georgia for years. In 1992, Abkhazia had declared itself independent, however, they did not get status of an independent state. They have got only an autonomous status.
