Actaeon

Actaeon, in Greek mythology, was a hunter changed into a stag for surprising the Greek goddess Artemis (Roman equivalent is Diana) when bathing. Afterwards, he was devoured by his own dogs.

When he accidentally saw her bathing, he stopped and stared, amazed at her ravishing beauty. Artemis, when saw him, forbade him speech - if he tried to speak, he would be changed into a stag - was the warning. However, upon hearing the call of his hunting party, he cried out to them and immediately was changed into a stag. He fled into the woods, but his hounds chased him and devoured.
