Admiral Sir Charles Brisbane

Admiral Sir Charles Brisbane (1769-1829) was an English naval officer of distinction under Lords Hood and Nelson. He captured in 1796 Dutch warships, three ships of the line among them, in Saldanha Bay, and in 1807 the island of CuraƧoa. He was made governor of St. Vincent.
