Akshar

Akshar is the name of alphabets in Hindi and many other Indo-European languages. Thus a letter of any language is called Akshar.

Akshar, in Sanskrit, also means means one who is not subject to destruction. In this way, it became an epithet of the God in Hindu mythology, and also epithets of the gods Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh etc. Srimad Bhagvad Gita says, "Akharam Brarham", means, who is not subject to destruction is the God.
