Almohades

Almohades, also spelled Almohads, were a Moslem dynasty which ruled in North Africa and Spain from 1129 to 1273.

In the 12th century, Almohads conquered the Spanish and North African empire of Almoravids. Their invasions were part of a Muslim movement and the members of the Berber Muslim movement were also called by this name.
