Alumbrado

Alumbrado was a member of a Spanish sect that laid claim to perfect enlightenment. Alumbrados were also known as the "Illuminati" or "Enlightened Ones". The name of their mystical movement of 16th and 17th century Spain, is also referred to by this name. They were ultimately condemned by the Spanish Inquisition.
