Ambashth

Ambashth, in Hindu mythology, were a people living in the ancient country of the same name. Modern day Lahore and the surrounding areas of Pakistan was the country of Ambashth in ancient India.

According to the Mahabharat, the Pandav prince Sahdev vanquished this kingdom while he was on Digvijay (the pursuit of conquering the world).

One of the kings of Ambashth was Shrutayu, who was also known as Ambashth.
