Ambulocetus

Ambulocetus is a carnivorous amphibian. It is large is size and is believed to be an early ancestor of whales that lived in the Eocene epoch. Its zoological name is Ambulocetus natans of the order Cetacea.

The bones of this amphibian was found in Pakistan in the 1990s. Following this discovery it was named ambulocetus, which literally means 'walking whale'.
