Amos

Amos (c.760 BC) was a Hebrew minor prophet. He was a poor shepherd of Tekoa, near Bethlehem and Jerusalem, in Judah.

He is known to have raised his voice in solitary protest against the iniquity of the northern kingdom of Israel, and denounced the judgment of God as Lord of Hosts upon one and all for their idolatry, which nothing could avert.

There is also a book of the Bible by this name which mainly contains his prophecies.
