Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin is a drug used especially for ear and upper respiratory infections. The variant spelling is amoxycillin, which is a shorter form of (am)ino hydr(oxy) peni(cillin). It is a broad-spectrum semisynthetic penicillin and is closely related to ampicillin. It is reported that amoxicillin is better absorbed when administered orally.
