Andalusite

Andalusite is a colourful mineral. High quality andalusites are used as gems. It derives its name from Andalusia, the southernmost region of Spain. This aluminosilicate mineral is generally found in gray, green, brown, or pink colours mainly as elongated rhombic prisms in metamorphic rocks.
