Andreas Fay

Andreas Fay (1786-1804) was a Hungarian dramatist and novelist, born at Kohany. He studied law, but the success of a volume of fables confirmed him in his choice of literature in preference. He wrote various novels and plays. He was instrumental in founding the Hungarian National Theatre. He was also a member of the Hungarian Diet.
