Andromache

Andromache, in Greek Mythology, was the wife of Hector and the mother of Astyanax. She is famous for her conjugal devotion. She fell to Neoptolemus (also called Pyrrhus), Achilles' son, at the fall of Troy and became his slave, but was given up by him to Hector's brother.

Andromache is the subject of tragedies by Euripides and Racine respectively.
