Ang

Ang was a country in ancient India corresponding to the present areas surrounding Bhagalpur and Munger of the State of Bihar. It was called so after the name of the founder of this kingdom, king Ang. Champa or Champapuri was its capital.

In the Ramayan, this kingdom is mentioned as being ruled by Rompad. In the Mahabharat, it was mentioned as being ruled by Kurus, and Duryodhan made his friend Karn king of this region.
