Angstrom

Angstrom is a unit of length. Its symbol is Å. It is equal to one hundred-millionth of a centimeter, 10 ^–10meter. It is named after Anders Jonas Angstrom, a Swedish physicist and professor at Upsala distinguished for his studies on the solar spectrum. The unit is used mainly to express wavelengths and interatomic distances.
