Annada Charan Paul

Annada Charan Paul was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was born in 1908 at Chalakchar, Dacca, now in Bangladesh. He was a member of Yugantar Party at the age of 17. After absconding for a period of 3 years, he was arrested in 1933. Subsequently, he was tried in 2 separate cases and convicted for 7 years in each case, sentences to run concurrently, and was sent to Cellular jail in Andaman where he served the sentence from 1934 to 1937. He took part in the second hunger strike. His total period in jails was 6 and half years. He died in July 1981.
