Anne of Cleves
Anne of Cleves (1515-57) was daughter of Duke of Clèves and a wife of Henry VIII. She was his fourth wife. It was politically arranged marriage which was dissolved after only six months. The marriage had taken place after he fell in love with the portrait of her by Holbein, but being disappointed, soon divorced her.Nearby pages
