Antofagasta

Antofagasta is a small port city in Chile, and is the capital of Antofagasta region situated in the northern part of the country. It was a rising port of before 1879, when it was taken from Bolivia. By the first decade of 20th century, the port had become famous for exports of silver ores and nitrate of soda.
