April

April is the fourth month of the year in Gregorian calendar. It is usually considered the second month of spring in the northern hemisphere. This month has 30 days. It derives its name from 'opening' of spring buds. The Roman name for this was Aprilis, which in turn was based on the Latin word aperio which means 'open'.

Thus, April is the month of "opening of the light in the days, and of the life of the leaves, and of the voices of the birds, and of the hearts of men."
