Archaic

Archaic is something that is very old or old-fashioned. In Greek art and culture, it denotes something belonging to an early period of human history, especially of the 7th-6th century BC. However, in language, a word or style of language that is not prevalent in the contemporary world but, is considered to be archaic. Archaic words or styles of language are generally avoided in everyday use, but sometimes used to give the feel and flavour of the olden days, or for some other considerations.
