Area is a geographical region, specified as such, because of its certain characteristic, such as a rural area, urban area, etc. Sometimes it denotes the specific area, especially when the space is allocated for the specific purpose, such as a dining area. An area is also the extent or measurement of a surface or a piece of land. Area, is also used as a field of interest, such as in the area of science.
