Argand diagram

Argand diagram is a term in mathematics for the diagram named after the famous French mathematician J R Argand (1768-1822). Complex numbers are represented geometrically on this diagram using Cartesian axes. The horizontal coordinate represent the real part of the number while the vertical coordinate the complex part.
