Aristarchus

Aristarchus (c. 217 - 145 BC), also known as Aristarchus of Samothrace, was a celebrated Greek grammarian and critic. He is noted for his editions of the writings of Homer and other Greek poets. He devoted his life to the elucidation and correct transmission of the text of the Greek poets, and especially Homer.
