Arran

Arran is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde in the west of Scotland. It is a mountainous island, highest summit Goatfell, 2866 ft, with a margin of lowland round the coast. Historically, it was part of Buteshire, and was nearly all the property of the Duke of Hamilton, whose seat was Brodick Castle.
