Artemisia II
Artemisia II (d. 351 BC), also known as Artemisia II of Caria, was a queen of Caria, a region of western Anatolia, now Turkey, who raised a tomb in 353 BC over the grave of her husband Mausolus (who was also her brother), which is regarded as one of the seven wonders of the world. Mausolus was a satrap of the Achaemenid Empire, but was regarded as king or dynast of the Hecatomnid dynasty.Nearby pages
