Ashokvatika

Ashokvatika is the name of a garden that was in Lanka, according to the Ramayana. The garden was evergreen in which there were many kinds of trees and flowers. There were a beautiful hill, lakes, rivers and several caves in Ashokvatika. In that garden, there were beautiful mansions. Vishvakarma had built it. Birds and deer happily lived in Ashokvatika. There was also a pond in this garden with lotuses in it. There were also swans playing. There was a dais, which was built on thousand pillars. According to Indian mythology that was in the centre of this garden where Ravan kept Sita captive.
