Asity

Asity is a bird found in Madagascar. It is a stocky perching bird which is related to the pittas. It belongs to the family Philepittidae. There are two genera of this bird, Philepitta and Neodrepanis. A small asity of the genus Neodrepanis resembling a sunbird is called 'false sunbird'.
