Atacama Desert
Atacama Desert is an arid region, a strip of land on the Pacific Coast in western Chile, extending about 965 km south from the Peruvian border. It lies west of the Andes Mountains. The Atacama Desert is the driest non-polar desert in the world, as well as the only true desert to receive less precipitation than the polar deserts. It occupies 105,000 sq km of land.
